Advanced search tools let you quickly find contacts by name, email address, or phone number—you can even locate a contact using just a partial number. In addition, contact lists can be filtered by tags, or you can display contacts pulled from sources like Outlook, SharePoint, and Active Directory, giving you seamless integration with your existing systems.

Block a Number

Take control of who can reach your team with YakChat's Blocked Numbers feature. MMS Group Chat

MMS Group Chat transforms the way you can connect and collaborate. With this feature, you can collaborate with multiple contacts simultaneously through YakChat. Everyone in the group will be able to see each other's phone numbers and view every reply.

Available exclusively for US and Canadian users on the YakChat Professional Plan, MMS Group Chat is easy to use. Simply draft your message, pick your contacts, and select 'Group Chat from the pull-down menu.

Supporting up to 10 participants (sender included), MMS Group Chat boosts your team's efficiency and expands your collaborative possibilities—ideal for coordinating teams or engaging customers. It reduces the the need to send individual messages, saves time, and ensures consistent communication. Plus, MMS Group Chat can capture and store conversations to make compliance effortless.

Message Translator

Message Translator is a dynamic YakChat feature that automatically translates both incoming and outgoing messages, overcoming language barriers for clearer communication.

It instantly converts messages to your local language for easy reading and response, and allows you to reply in the sender's language with a simple click. Toggle between your language and translations to verify accuracy before sending, or select a language from a dropdown for new messages. The ability to translate older messages on-demand makes it indispensable in today’s globalized world, where effective communication across diverse languages is crucial.

Shortcuts/Quick Replies

Shortcuts (also known as quick replies) make it quick and easy for you to save and send frequently used text responses. Whether it’s a welcome message, compliance confirmation, or even a signature, Shortcuts speed up your messaging and ensure consistency. It's easy to create personal shortcuts or to use administrator-provided ones to optimize your messaging efficiency.

Notifications in Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams offers two notification methods: Chat notifications and Activity feed notifications. YakChat’s integrated messaging solution supports both, allowing users to pick the one that suits them best.

Teams Chat Notifications provide consistent updates across devices, including the Teams mobile app. Users can quickly reply to messages directly from Teams chat, and collaborate on messages in a Shared Inbox. Personal notifications are separate from other activities in the chat tab to ensure they’re not overlooked, and in a Shared Inbox, conversation owners are tagged to help them stay on top of messages they’re accountable for. Importantly, all messages are securely captured by Teams' archiving solutions, supporting regulatory compliance.

The Activity Feed in Microsoft Teams consolidates notifications from various activities within Teams, including messages from YakChat. This desktop-focused notification system is ideal for users who prefer to manage notifications on their desktop rather than on a mobile app. When users receive a message notification, clicking on it takes them directly to the YakChat app, where they can view, reply to, or send new messages.
